In Casino Gambling, When The Deal Is Too Good…
A lot has been said about thinking twice when a deal is too good. There are other cases when thinking twice does not cross the mind since one is so taken into it. Take casino gambling for instance, when does one tell that they have had enough, is when all the money is spent and they have lost terribly or when they have won so much money that they feel they have more than enough.
Well, surprising as it may be, gambling does not know anything as being enough. If one looses one game after the other, there is always that urge to continue playing with the hope that maybe, just maybe they will get lucky in the next round. For the winners the excitement increases, they feel lucky and since the human mind always wants, more they continue playing hoping that they will take home as much as they possibly could. Now one does not realize that he is addicted until maybe it is too late.
What gets one to such point is a matter to be addressed. For a beginner getting attracted to gambling can be simple and fast as a snap of the finger. They get into a casino, and the first sight they encounter are the all too attractive casino lights, music and the excitement of the place takes them into that playing mood because that .is what they consider it to be at first, just a game. Then one game turns into two, then three and before they know it, they are masters of the game.
The big question however remains, is it worth it? At some point, one may consider it definitely worth it, because casinos depict the picture of free money lying around just waiting for whoever wants it, and frankly speaking who can say no to money that you can earn while having fun. Motivational speakers have time and again told people that life is a gamble and to a real gambler this is just another way of urging them on.
Gambling in itself is negative in every sense of the word but there is an excitement to it that makes a person always want to do it. The good news however is unlike other forms of addiction like alcohol and a drug, getting over casino gambling is not as hard as it may sound.
Gambling is all in the mind and once a person allows his mind to persist so does it, training the mind to stop is a road towards stopping this addiction. Unlike smoking or using drugs where one is controlled by the body and when it will feel the urge to take in the addictive s then they will have no option but to give into the desires of their bodies. Whether it is a positive or negative addiction is up to an individual to decide. For those who find it positive then good luck but for those who find it negative then, stopping starts with the mind.
